C63 Driver's seat bolster damage
2012 C63. The drivers seat outside bolster mid height is getting badly screwed up. I'm sure caused by getting in and out although I try to be very careful. My car has a black/red interior so the bolster is red and it shows up.
From looking at other cars (few that I can find) they all appear to be wearing that spot.
Is MB warantee helping out in replacing the seat cover.

I see you are in Canada so the factory warranty may be different but Mercedes Benz does not warranty the fabric of the seats. Unless you purchased a paint/fabric protection product with a warranty, you might have to bite the bullet on this one. I had a quote for my seat covers (bottom and top) and it was $2100USD with installation (4 hours of labor).

If you have the damage replaced, I advocate the following approach afterward (I call it the "robot" entrance/exit):
Entering: First, slide your seat all the way back. Next, put your right leg into the car with your foot next to the transmission tunnel. Using your right leg/foot for support, carry your *** over the left bolster (the one nearest the door) and plop yourself down.
Exiting: Slide your seat all the way back (if you do this upon exit, you can skip this step when getting back into the car). Turn to your left while lifting your knees up. Then, put your feet outside the car and rock upward. You can use the handle on the roof if you need some help keeping your balance/lifting yourself out.
These methods sound insane, and they are, but they will help to minimize bolster wear. The C63's bolsters are a blessing and a curse.

My dealer replaced my upper seat cover under the CPO warranty even though they said it's usually wear and tear. They did it to "make sure I was happy with my service experience." They did this along with the squeaky rear brake pads. I definitely took that online survey they emailed me and gave them 10s. Totally unexpected and they have my business.

When I was looking at used C63s all of them had some form of wear on the bolster. It was a good car if it didn't have wear on the passenger side as well.

I support the "robot exit/entry" method. I do this all the time by keeping the seat position far back in the memory 3. My seats still look new.

My dealer just called and the MB rep agreed to order and install a new seat back cover on the drivers side at no charge as a courtesy.
BUT he said they will only do it ONE time only.
I have to start practicing the entry/exit dance.

I also have set memory 3 set to put the wheel forward and the seat back as far as possible so the bolster gets less wear.

I bought mine used and there is some wear marks (09), but nothing terrible.
Preventative measures pay off.

Any pics of this wear? I have a 2010 with minimal wear. Do you guys use a good leather conditioner? Really makes the leather nice and slippery so you can slide in and out no problem.

FYI - Downtown Mercedes (Toronto) told me the same ... haven't taken them up on it yet though.
