Driver side front door does not lock, any ideas?
My 2009 C63 , I actually cannot lock the driver side door, not even manually. Very strange. Any suggestions what this may be. I am hoping for a simple solution, the car is still under extended warranty but it is just such a hassle to drop off the car etc. Just had it in twice for an alignment and now have to go back again..
Thanks.
Thanks.

I walked up to my car at the airport one time, put my bags in, and then couldn't get my trunk to close...I kept trying and trying...but it just kept popping open. It turned out that my car key was in the briefcase that I just placed in the trunk, and the car was smart enough not to let me do that (while the rest of the doors were locked). Not saying that is your issue, but thought I would share just in case.

Driver side door will not lock/unlock with smart key
I have a 2010 C300 4matic and all doors except for the driver side will lock and unlock with the smart key. I contacted mercedes and they said it sounded like a lock/latch issue that would cost around $600 to fix. Anyone else ever have this issue?

I had a similar issue where first my driver side door wouldn't lock remotely. I was just having hard time locking it manually with the key. Then 2 weeks later it won't lock at all except if the door was already close and I would push the door pin. I was suspecting the door actuator for being faulty. As you mentioned dropping the car to the dealer is a pain in my area. you have to get an appt and cannot drop it off to get it fixed right away on this kind of repair ... I have an extended warranty as well and decided one day to drop it by the dealer and I was right. There was a short circuit with the actuator. They fixed the issue and everything (diagnostic + repair + part) was covered under extended warranty.
So I would suggest you to go back to your dealership
