No worries, thanks
As a note, the exhaust system fitted was free flowing 3" cat/res delete straight from headers to back boxes so can't imagine that would be the cause but as you said, MSL will look into all the data and get back to you
Thanks and take care

Considering C63 for possible Weistec SC project.
Looking for feedback as I am considering a C63 for a possible Weistec SC project.
Should I be concerned about a high miles car?
Transmission?
Real world performance on stage I
Stage II
Thanks

I dont think mileage is really an issue as long as it has been properly maintained. If its 2011 or older make sure it's got the updated headbolts or install studs as even more stress will be exerted on them. Stage 1 and 2 are basically the same with a different pulley and headers. Stage 2 is trickier for emissions counties like austin so becareful. I'd recommened the valve body at minimum or fully built trans for any of the non mct cars since the transmissions were weaker - only rated for 500nm not 700nm of torque. Im in dallas, so if you are ever in the area and want to see the difference just message me. Im also more than capable of the install aswell.

I am running a Stage 2 with original tranny and it hasn't shown any signs of giving up.
Car has ~10,000kms (7,500 miles) and maybe 2 dozen+ 1/4 mile passes with the SC on it.
Will run 10s all day long.

lol 10,000km, it's brand new. Mine had 63,000km when the tranny went in a week. Now 84,000km under boost and running good. I think she is starting to burn more oil though.

^^^ i think he means his had the blower on for 10000kms

2010 C63 AMG Evo3 done by Evosport, 2005 CLK55 Amg KLeeman supercharged stage 4,
Honestly it depends on multiple factors. Imo I would say if you compare the naturally aspirated performance modifications over forced induction. After my experience with Weistec modifications for longevity I would consider going down the NA route. After having my car fixed and breaking in the new trans from my car (after Weistec destroyed it) I went down the rado and renntech route on my m157 4matic. The truth is the longest lasting modified m156 I have had in the c63 w204 was the naturally aspirated as opposed to the SC. Headers and intake with upgraded ecu is plenty for high speed acceleration. Again if you have are conscerend with high milage and keeping the car w/o much upkeep then I recomend not going with weistec. I say if you want a reliable kit, the kleeman company extra makes a more reliable kit but it's more expensive. If you can learn from my mistake. The Weistec sc only puts down the same amount of power but the pre face lift w204 trans can't Handel the torque and back when I had my c63 2010 modified by Evosport we got it to 470rwhp all on NA. Which held to the 2008 Weistec sc one my buddy had. My c63 had No trans mods or power issues. So if you can get your car in real world applications I reiterate go NA with bolt ons as opposed to the sc kit. It isn't worth being the mods.

blowers been on for about 18k miles now, 30k total on the car. It's not a exactly a daily but driven frequently. 15k miles over the past 2 years. The transmission didnt start slipping till about 28k miles. Keep in mind this car sees full throttle every time its driven too. I then rebuilt the transmission with stock parts and got the valve body upgrade. We'll see how long it will hold up now. When it slipped it was only under full load/power. Driving it normally or 70% you'd never notice.

I have had the kit on my E55 for 6 weeks now. The hardware itself is top notch and trying to get my tune sorted out has been so so. I originally had the BBK 90mm TB on with the 3.0 kit, and it threw idle air control codes everyday and got continuous lean bank 1 and bank 2 codes. My other issue was around shifting, power would drop off before the shift, then it would shift, hesitate and go back to normal. I have a weistec TCU tune too.
I got aggrevated waiting for a complete tune for the 90mm upgrade, so I went back to the 82mm tb. The idle air control codes went away, but the shifting issue remained.
The car makes big top end power, but the TQ has dropped off substantially from where I was with the M113K factory blower setup. All in all it is a great product, however if you have issues that others people are not, dont expect them to be resolved in a timely manner.

The 55k has always had heat issues with stock blower and more so with the Weistec system.
On an easy cruise of less than 2k rpm IAT stays at 115f and on a hard pull rises to 160f.
Would ideally be looking for cruise IAT to be under 100f and not to go past 140/145f on a hard pull.
will let you know once Killer Chiller is fitted and take it from there.
Shame Steve or Mike from Weistec aren't commenting.....could do with understanding the IAT's from their point of view

75f ambient
90f iat2 cruising
125f max iat2 at the top of 70mph to 115mph
100f again 10 seconds later at 60mph.
This was the hottest recorded portion of my 2 hour trip.
Again 2003 sl55 with a cwa50 pump and no other changes.
Heres a log
IAT, RPM, speed, throttle position
