AMG button blinks on 507
Doesn't really bother me, just curious. At start up, the AMG button blinks for about 5 seconds? Anyone know why?

Can't find the answer in the manual.

I wish other countries got the AMG button, it seems it was US only...

Performance Media is an option. If the car doesn't have it, there won't be an AMG button.

Or are you saying you have Performance Media but no AMG button to use it? Or that PM wasn't an available option in Australia?

I was curious about this too, I knew mine didn't have it, my dealer called this morning to see how the beast is going so I asked about it, aus delivered cars didn't get them

Performance media is US only option. I don't really understand why, but possibly due to the fact that it only includes us tracks. I'd still take the other non track features such as g forces etc. As someone else said, the button looks cool too!

Didn't know it wasn't available world-wide. I wonder if it's left-hand drive only due to sensor placement or something.

I believe performance media is avaialble outside the US however it is only offered on special models such as the 507 and Black Series.

It's actually not. It was not available for when I ordered my 507 (Australia), and I recall people from other countries (Canada?) also not being able to order. I've not seen anyone outside the US with this option.

My dealer did mention yesterday that it may be to do with Aus cars being RHD however he wasn't sure..

It's certainly available in Germany. All the press releases show it with German language displays.
