I have seen a C63 with factory CF, and it really looks great. Has a nice depth to it, with the clear coat on it.
But for price comparison, $1500 [odd] for CF trim panel replacement vs $100 3M wrap...... depends how much money you want to throw at it.
At least, CF Wrap is a stepping stone to proper MACarbon. If you LOVE the CF, and want to go the next step, then go for it.
3M is great quality in all their products. They have a great reputation.
I cant comment on say eBay CF Wrap, as i have never used it personally.

The more I think about this the more I want to try wrapping my interior trim. Have a few questions before though:
1. Is there an instructional video somewhere that shows how to remove the various trim pieces of the car?
2. What sort of tools will I need to get everything accomplished?
3. Where can I order the cf wrap material from?
4. How much exactly do I need?
Those are the questions I have so far, once I do this, I might look into doing the chrome pieces like window trim outside in gloss black. Think paying a shop to do interior and outside would add to be quite a bit considering the amount of time it would take to do everything.

All pop out (no tools needed).
They can be wrapped off the car.
As for the door trims, i did mine on the car. Its too much of a paint taking the interior trims out. Much easier to do them in the car. Just need a well lit area, and a steady hand. Its a 2hr job in total.
Need a heat gun/ hair drier. Some trim removal tools, just to use the fine edge to neatly press the vinyl into the corners, etc.
A box cutter/ razor blade for trimming.
I used a roll of 3M that was 1.5M x .5m
Not sure where to buy in the USA though.

Wrapping the door trim is not that difficult, I did mine (before I bought the real deal) & had zero experience with vinyl.
Just be very patient, use a hair dryer to heat the vinyl, a sharp blade to cut & a plastic spatula to push the vinyl in the crease. I did it while on the car, removing the trims from the door is a long process (I had to do it to replace with the real deal afterwards).. All very doable with patience.
There is few DIY on this forum on how to remove the door trims. Just get the right tool to pull on the clips if u decide to go ahead, or else u might damage them.

I just ordered the 3m 1080 and will be tackling this wrap shortly.
I only paid $46 for a 5'x3' roll, seemed like a steal!

Thanks everyone so I think I might be doing this soon. I will order that wrap Autosport linked, seems like a good deal and the roll seems like should be big enough for at least the interior trim?
The door trim I will also try to wrap without removing if it's doable I definitely don't want more work than I have to do. If you guys have any instructional videos and stuff I can watch then please do forward them to me. I think I will buy trim removal set with plastic stuff cause I don't want to be using screw drivers when trying to remove my trim pieces. Anyone know what sort of plastic tool set I require for this?
Thanks a lot everyone!

No not yet. Had a busy weekend. I didn't even make it to PVGP.
Although I did swap out my entire center console, and not just the arm rest. Took out everything including the large plastic piece that carries the heat/AC to the back of the car. Had some scratches in it when I bought it that I didn't care for so I bought a new one and installed it.
Took me about an hr and a half.
Prob drop her this coming weekend.

Sounds like you were busy
PVGP not a big MB turnout due to weather although BMW must have had 100 cars
There was a new M6 there all black ... Beautiful car
We bummed around for an hour or two then bailed and went to the museum lol
The clubs are very different
BMW is more performance oriented where as MB is more tradition/ historical based
It was funny
It would stop raining and people would clean their cars up
Then it would rain again
Lol

PVGP sounds as I pictured it then.
Kinda happy I was unable to attend lol.
I will do a proper shoot of all my recent mods once I complete the chrome delete and get the springs on.

Where can I order the trim removal tools? I've ordered the 3M wrap now need the tools so I can try to tackle it when it all comes in.
I also need a heat gun and stuff I guess or will a hair dryer work? Canadian members, can I buy the trim removal tools, heat gun etc locally? If so, where? Would save the hassle of ordering online and waiting forever.

Or pep boys carries both items, you will pay $25 for tools instead of $9 on eBay though. I got my heat gun a few years back at Ace Hardware for like $20.

That seems like the overlay stuff? That you simply stick on top of the trim? Everyone recommends against those here which is why I ended up ordering that roll of CF stuff. Can you post pictures of yours?

As detailed pictures as possible would be nice, like from the sides and all that. I am interested in seeing how it sits on top of the current trim and looks and feels.
