I followed these instructions: https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...-detector.html

Setup looks exactly like post #4 above, but without the remote display in the center dash.

I'm about to do something similar to my E550... how do you remove the plastic panel to cut the hole for the V1 display?

Multiple
Here is my setup for my 9500ix. Simple 3M windshield mount and power cord routed through headliner into glove box. I have always had to splice tap a switched 12V line either in the dome light or down by the center cigarette lighter socket, but I LOVE the 12V socket in the glove box of the C63. Makes things so much simpler - I have both my radar and my smartphone's wireless charger going right into it.

I mounted it to the right of the rear view mirror tucked away up top, so that it's not visible to the officer peering into the car from the driver's window

I have no experience on an E-class but this is the video I used. Keep in mind thay panel is like $350 so don't mess up. I have seen them on ebay for $60 though.

Amazing that police in the USA still uses radars while radar detectors are legal.

But in Canada, where radar detectors are illegal, the police mainly use lasers now. Making radar detectors useless because, let's be honest, when the laser warning sounds, you're already clocked.

That's where LIDAR shifters like Laser Interceptor and Blinder HP-905 come into play.

Are these the devices that can also be used as "park assist"...?

Exactly - Radar is easy to avoid with a good Radar detector and I have not had a radar measurement based ticket since living in the US ( almost 8 years). I have had 5 tickets from Laser guns and one from an aircraft clocking me with a stopwatch.

I had a Valentine but have given up on it as it was constantly going off and I was no longer paying attention to it as a result. Valentine has not evolved in 10 years. We have lots of radar based traffic sensors on our highways in Ohio and GPS based services for false alerts and traffic cameras also help a lot to eliminate false alerts. I now have an Escort Passport Max and am very happy with it. Plenty of radar range.

For Laser I use Blinder 905 laser jammers front and back and I have not had a ticket since I have them (since April 2014). Hopefully it will stay that way!

Yea they are. Im not sure how well they do as parking assist but it gives you a halfway decent excuse.

S550 on order
Are laser jammers even legal in canada?

You guys need to try being 25 driving a C63, some of the stuff I've been pulled over for is straight up ridiculous and the cops should be fired, Hell I've been told by a cop i was doing over 200km through a fuking school zone with a 90 degree turn 100 feet up the road..YEAH OK LOL 200km an hour in <500 meters? Cops need their heads checked. Cop tells me "Your car is loud, must be doing 200" Stupid *** humans

You guys think you have it bad, lol, I just lost my license for 7 months over 2 stupid *** "N" tickets and for having a 3rd person in the car, OVER age. I'd constantly have a radar pointed at me when I drove, everytime a cop saw my car they'd follow me a few minutes later - gotta love small city cops, nothing else to do but harass people, Heck I even received a ticket for no insurance, and I handed the cop my insurance LOL, Yet he still writes me a ticket just to be an *******...Dispute it? LOL Whats the point? The judge is going to believe some goof cop over a 1%er

One tip, Don't ever move to Canada, it's basically **** Germany 10x now. They pretend to give you freedom but reality is you have jack ***** - even our taxes are a joke, double taxation, Hello being poor.

It sucks in Canada they use lasers now, it's cute how their all cocky about it too, oh well one day they'll get theirs

it's funny though, 34 million people and they treat canadians like we're worse then the **** germans, seriously...even older people get treated like ***** in Canada, it's almost as bad as north korea, the only difference being is canadians actually eat food

Yes
I'm leaning towards anti laser priority + escort. Can't seem to find a top notch installer in the area.

Detector is a BEL STiR+ with antenna in center left lower grill and laser jammer is ALP with 2 heads fore (look at grill each side of front) and three aft..outstanding protection with GPS false lockouts and redlight camera alert..and three jammer heads in rear because photo laser from over passes is the big revenue generator here..

Buydig has the Beltronics Rx95 for $114.99 shipped

Use code: NewYear2015

Not the top of the line detector, but not bad either.
