Disabling Foglight Illumination Feature
I'm most likely going to get my SAM reprogrammed this weekend to use LED taillights and I was wondering if anyone knows if I can also disable the foglight illumination feature when turning. People always tell me I have a foglight out when I drive behind them and it's getting pretty annoying.
Anyone know if that's in SAM and how to disable it?
Thanks

I have star diag, and i managed to disable it in my ML63 & E63.
But cant seem to do it on C63.
Yes, i hate it too. If anyone can help me with this also, with instructions on how to do it in Star, i would love that.
I am told it can be done with Star.
Sorry for little thread hijack, but subscribed.

Yeah it is extremely stupid. Its a force of habit for me now though. As soon as I start the car, I switch on the fogs

????? WOW. Yes, I checked and determined it is in fact a stupid stupid rule. You are allowed to use them in fog and other hazardous driving conditions.
I have never been blinded or "dazzled" by oncoming fog lights, HID in reflector housings yes, fogs never.

Yeah, its a stupid rule indeed. Especially the fog lights on our cars.
They really point Down, and to the edges.
Though there are alot of cars (Australian Built) Holden SS Commodore, and Ford Falcon XR's, or say WRX's, and their fog lights dont point down, they are actually quite bright.
Though, from memory there is rule about not having on more than 1 pair of lights on the front of your vehicle (except for high beam).
This, roof mounted spot lights, or spot lights on the bullbar (SUV's, etc) is also illegal.
Yes, whats shi7s me more, are people that put HID's in their car, and they dont have projector headlights. Or worse, their projector headlights arent properly aimed.
This is also illegal here. As per Australia rule, any Xenon lights on cars, must be accompanied by a headlight washer, and automatic leveling of the headlights (up/down). Its illegal to just throw HID's in your car. Unless the above is complied with.
And the cops love to enforce the fog light rule here, as its about $150 fine (from memory), and 1 demerit point (of which we have 13), and they are re-accrued every 3 years from losing them.
