TYC branded fog light replacement - good idea or not?
So my fog lights are broken (like many others here heh). Looking at rockauto, they have TYC OEM replacements (full housing and bulb) for around $26, vs the $100+ for the OEM Hella ones....
It's a light, how much different could it be from the OEMs?

Once you get 'em replaced, think about a protectant film. My old C55 suffered from frequently shattered fog lights until I put a protectant film on them, and I never broke another after that. I think I used X-Pel. They were less than $20 and were an easy DIY. A great product.

I'm fine with replacing the lights fortunately. I guess I will go ahead and give them a try, $50 for both versus almost $300 for the OEM fogs, it is worth the risk.

TYC and Depo are fine. On my resto 190e project, I had both OEM Bosch Euro headlamps and Depos and they are very similar. I actually ran the Depos and sold off the Bosch.
