Question Big fin diffuser install: how do I make this right?

I got a JL motoring big fin diffuser from my body shop but clearly, it has not been installed right and he didnt seem to realize that some improvisation is required. what is the best method to secure: elongated bolts or attaching OEM tabs to the cf diffuser? Here's how *****ty it looks as of now:

Best thing to do would be to transfer over the plastic supports from the original diffuser. You can just bolt them back to the car and angle them how they originally were to support the new diffuser.

Thanks Tal! so do you mean I can simply bolt on the bracket and the diffuser will rest against it?

Yes, that's the easiest way to go about it.

you should also attach the diffuser to the brackets as well, or else the wind can rip it off.

.. newbie and lurker here. i just installed my cf diffuser and it looks like your tabs aren't seated. try placing pressure on the top with one hand and pull the underside down and towards the front of the car to get them seated. you may want to tape off the upper part of the diffuser so you don't scratch the bumper lip above the diffuser. also, make sure your supports, screws, are loose or removed.

Thanks guys! I spent an hour fighting the oem diffuser to take the rivets off. but i am glad i did. the diffuser sits nicely now and the ugliness is gone.
poketaco808: thanks for the idea. the gap was corrected as soon as the unscrewed lowerpart was rested against the oem brackets.
