help...my car feels "off"

So i went away on a small trip (5 days) and left my car at home. When i got back, it felt off. By that i mean that i am running a Eurocharged V5 tune and it feels like the car is back to stock (or worse). In manual mode the downshifts are not as aggressive and i feel like the upshift warning light is coming up sooner and more often (usually i am used to the shift points and can upshift without the warning) and not matched with the acceleration i am used to).

could this be a problem with the tune? transmission? engine??? what are the symptoms of a blown transmission or a shot cylinder?

thanks!

RL

I've had the upshift warning pop up early (say 6krpm) a couple times now with V5.

Can you flash back to stock, drive a bit and reflash the tune? Just an idea. I had a (extremely heavily modded) VW that when I went away for a week or two at a time it always ran like garbage when I would return. I reset all electronic anything and after a few cycles it ran normal. Dunno if it will help you or these vehicles.

If you had any cylinder failure or such yo would have all sort of CEL popping up !!!
So my guess is your ECU went dormant !lol!
As others mentioned I would reset TCU/unplug battery and drive it hard for a few miles and see what's happening.

thanks..will unplugging the battery or doing that process to reset the ECU affect my Eurocharged tune?

I have the MyGenius but only have the V3 loaded on it...didnt have time to put the V5 on the handheld.

BTW, i called the dealer and they said there are over 400 sensors on our car so if it was something major like engine or transmission related i would most likely have gotten an error message.

It will more likely reset how the ECU/TCU learns your driving habits ( like TB % and such) not put your tune back to stock unless you do so with the handheld. I would recommend you to load your V5 as well to your handhel device just in case.

Just turn the Traction OFF and drive the snot out of it -Its a pretty simple fix. The battery is on cycles anyways so just drive it hard and it will come back to life.

Man, I am going thru the same thing....no punch at all after 3-7k rpm...car sat the dealer getting buckets changed out for 5-6 day. Amg tech reset adaptations and car is way slower than before. Will try battery pull

Hopefully he did not overwrite your ECU tune .
I hate having my car at the dealership and not knowing what they do to it. Particularly the dealership in my area. I haven't been impressed by their service and knowledge!

The shift light will come on as you approach redline or any time it feels the tires are spinning too much. See what happens if you turn the traction control off of even to sport. Maybe reload the tune. Could be that you are just engaging the traction control...

No my guys pretty good and managed to get all the work done under warranty lol....he owns a modded e55 so doubt ecu was cleared....it felt faster with traction off vs on so it maybe traction control stepping in when I try to punch it....I'll do battery pull and let it learn again.
