Trunk opener switch trim cover

The plastic faux chrome strip above the license plate
How is it removed?
I searched nadda
Removed the visable screws
Got loose but difficult to pull free
Didn 't want to break it
Are there screws in the trunk too ?

I have a new one that I haven't installed yet. If it helps I can post photos of the back of the trim strip but not until later today.

Dude, why remove it? I vinyl wrapped mine in place very easily if you're looking for a color change. I remember seeing a thread that outlined the steps to removal, and they were a bit complicated by something or other (sorry, can't recall). I believe their is a fastener within the trunk, yes, IIRC.

Steel Grey Metallic C63!!
Once you have removed all the visible screws, you have to really YANK at the trim to get it free. I specifically recall your conundrum as I was in the same situation when I did a reverse camera install on my 2009 C350.

Thanks
Might have to put on my big boy pants on and give it a try
But I've been known to yank stuff that shouldn't have been

You have to remove the trunk linen like if you wanted to install LED bulbs for the license plate to access the tabs/clips in the back and pressure them so you can release the strip. It is not complicated but requires a little bit of force. GL

There are two screws visible on the outside and then there are two screws next to the trunk latch handle on the inside. You have to take out the liner to get to them. Then pull or tape up a pry bar or screw driver and pry it away from the trunk. Tip: put tape at the ends of the chrome piece to keep from scratching the paint.

As soon as the Hurricanes leave I can take pictures when I am installing my camera.

Thanks
I don't see any place for screws from inside the trunk?
Unless the 2 tangs either side of the button
Those orange push rivets might be what is retaining it after I remove the screws
