The Age Old Tire Pressure Question...
I'm running Continental DWS X-large tires all around on my car and was wondering as to what PSI you guys are running front and back. I'm running 42 front and 44 rear last I checked. The tire pressure recommendation behind the gas cap says 44 front and 46 rear. No this is NOT the Max Capacity recommendation. This is normal pressure that MB recommends.
Is it just me or are those numbers excessively high?

I was running 39/40. I liked it. Softened the ride, but it didn't have a precise feel and i decided to go back up to the factory spec. I'm running 41/44 cold now...44/49 warm. Feels more nimble.

I doubt I'll be going past 150mph
okay, so I'm in the ballpark and not too far off.

The pressure shown on the gas cap is for 3 people and luggage. Very rarely are there three people in the car and less likely to have 3 bags of luggage. I run 36 Fr and 38 Rear on the E. 2 people, no bags
And yes if you see 5 PSI increase when hot better think about nitrogen.
