Brake change - ABS diaphragm at risk?
I was chatting with an indy mechanic today who said to only have pads/rotors done at an MBZ shop - some story about risk of rupturing a diaphragm in the ABS system. Seems unlikely. I know lots of you have been through brake changes - is any element of truth to this?

probably talking about the sbc pressure reservoir - which our cars dont have sbc. like older sl/e/cls. When they do rupture it has absolutely nothing to do with how a procedure is done. It's just old parts wearing out, which happens to be more likely when the system is disturbed.
