Any need to heat up the carbon fibre or the body panel on car? I read that the 3M tape works best on hot surfaces.

Also, any need to do extensive cleaning? Or just a simple wipe down?

When I installed mine, the 3M tape wasn't too helpful. Self taps did the job mainly.
