Help please! Suggestions on drag racing wheels?

Does anybody have any good suggestions for a drag racing wheel? Replicas are not a good option for me because of safety and weight issues. I looked at Forgeline, but $1300 a wheel is a bit pricey. Also are 17"x9" wheels good? Thanks for the help folks!

why dont you buy merc63 drag setup

its a tried and proven setup he has ran 10.6s with that setup

you can also get your hands on 16 in clk wheels and put dot drag racing slicks

Yeah actually I looked at those, and are still on the radar. They are replicas and he isn't quite sure on the wheel width. Aren't replicas twice as heavy as stock/racing rims? And isn't the safety rating crap on them as well?

im sure he will measure them for you if you ask
Im sure they will be lighter then your 18s
his running 10.6s with a stage 3 supercharger im sure the safety of them is fine

you could go for the 16s but it will cost you about the same by the time you buy the rims and machine them
Seach Blackbenzzz name and the thread should come up

if i were you id go for merc63 setup
i have the 16s set up and it works well but i would rather the 17s for extra width

True true. The smaller the wheel, the less aluminum, the lighter they are. I'm running the stock 19s (Ed 507), so the weight wouldn't be that bad. I'll send him another line

I cut 1.5x 60' with those tires and rims. They are way lighter than my 19s.

I think I have one of top 2 60's on dragtimes for a c63.

What does the width matter? Tires fit great and they work.

Yup, I'm liking your wheels more and more...lol. I was just trying to get something with the same width as my stock ones. I'll shoot you another PM. Thanks for the help guys...
