Debating on pulling the trigger on 2012 c63 coupe
Hi all so I been in the market to buy a c63 for a while now, and I have found the c63 that I want. I checked it out and its extremely clean car. Also I know I can get a good deal on the car because its been for sale fore over 130 days. However there are a few options that the car doesn't have that are turning me off. It doesn't have the P31 pack or the LSD. Besides that its pretty much exactly how I would have configured it. My question to you guys, is do you think I will regret buying it even though it doesn't have these two options?I am probably not going to take the car to the track..

It's from a dealer right? I saw it 3 months ago, i'm surprised the car is still there.
I wanted the p31 for the internals and extra hp and because it was just a detuned version of a edition 507.
You could just get a tune and get more power. For LSD, I heard some say the OEM one sucked and they replaced it with an aftermarket one.
I'm also going the aftermarket route with my p31.

Like the others have said, those options missing are no big deal. As far as I know the forged internals of the P31 car offer their benefits in weight saving and rev-response primarily but, the standard non-P31 internals will still take the pounding of a supercharger so...is it really a MUST have for a street driver...?
I can certainly tell you that the standard engine internals allow it to rev very freely and responsively as it is so IMO this is not a deal breaker at all. The extra power that the P31 map gives is great but, a remap obliterates this to the point that a lot of P31 guys actually remap theirs anyway.
As for the LSD, I have this and I can't tell the difference on the street much at all between it and a non-LSD car. It does come to life though when you want to kick the *** out but the non-LSD car does this with ease anyway and you can still drift it. As for hooking up in a straight line, both cars will write number 11's and in the dry there's not much difference, although I will say that in the wet the LSD helps but, I don't tend to nail it then anyway.
I do wonder if the non-LSD cars have an eLSD that is brake controlled. Can anyone confirm?
Anyway, again, is a mechanical LSD a MUST have for a street driver? Probably not but with Quaife's and Wavetrac's so cheap in the grand scheme of things I'd just head there. Besides, ATBD's tend to be better than stock anyway and it's quite a nice 'mod' to have if you plan on ramping up the HP a lot. With just a tune I wouldn't worry much though.

I agree with everything said above. I have a non-P31 with a tune and it's insane now. The only time i notice the lack of LSD is powering out of a tight corner. The car does brake the wheel that spins, up to a certain point. In the snow (i have read) this can overheat the rear brakes and the car will eventually stop braking the spinning wheel. Aftermarket LSDs will be better and are not that expensive. I would not be deterred by the lack of those 2 options.
