After a couple weeks of debating and going back and forth I traded in my '14 e350 for a '14 c63 sedan. It's diamond white with 2 tone red/black leather. It's a beast. I hurried through the process today and know nothing about the different modes or the ins and outs of this car. Anyone care to point out a few good features? Is there a breakin period? Salesman told me no but not sure about that. I've heard 500 miles also. Thanks. I'll post pics later

The break-in procedure is detailed on the windshield sticker (top left as you are sitting in the driver's seat).
Vary the engine speed for the first 1,000 miles. Do not exceed 5,500 rpm for the first 1,000. Avoid use of the kick-down mode (button behind the go-fast pedal). Do not exceed 100 mph in the first 1,000 miles (this is for the tires more than anything).
My break-in method? Wait until the oil temperature reaches at least 176 F (you can view the oil temperature and coolant temperature via the AMG menu) and then have fun.
One thing I would adhere to no matter what is varying the engine speed. It's not good to drive 1,000 miles in 7th gear just cruising at highway speeds. You need to mix up the engine speed and row through the gears a bit.
Congrats.

The go-fast pedal is also known as the accelerator pedal. The kick-down button/switch is the button below it that depresses when you go WOT (wide-open throttle). When you hit the kick-down button, the transmission automatically downshifts.
Go check under your accelerator (I just did to confirm).
I accept your apology.

On my 2012 there is a kick down click that you get when you press the throttle all the way and then press a little more. It is a button but I don't think you can actually see a button as the button is actually inside the accelerator. When your car is off see if you can just press the gas pedal a little more than you think is full throttle.
