Question Eurocharged V5 questions :)

Hello Community ,

Ive a couple of question about the "Eurocharged V5 Tune"

-Are the Tune 100% full throttle durable for German Autobahn

-C Mode & S mode what the different with the V5 (i heard in C its still stock engine power and shifting)

-how high revs the Engine because ive no SLS internals

-how much crankshaft HP are doable with headers + V5

Thanks a lot guys ;-)

Regards from Germany

Alex

I think in C, throttle sensitivity and shift parameters are the same but power is better. In S or M mode it will blip more aggressively on the downshift, sounding cooler and making it smoother. In either case though, the car should never exceed the normal rev limit. As far as the autobahn, i think the speed limiter is raised to 320 kph, or effectively gone. With headers, depending on what kind you end up with, people see 570-590 bhp. With just the tune i put down 426 whp (520 bhp).

And you can only run full throttle at 320 km/h for a max of 30 - 45 minutes at a time. Wait - that means you'll run out of gas first! Oh well.....

I've been full throttle on the autobahn many, many times with the V5. It has even handled Nordschleife at the Nuerburgring.

A buddy of mine who has a 507 just blew his engine going full throttle a couple weeks ago. His was unmodded, untuned.

I think a lot of info about the autobahn is myth. Isn't it true that over 2/3rds of it has speed restrictions? Only about a third of it is still unrestricted, so I wonder how long you can hold a full throttle in a 500hp car before you run into jettas and Peugeots clogging up the road or you hit a restricted stretch.

Not sure what happened to my buddy's 507, just that the bill was covered by warranty and over $40 at one point. I texted him and asked what happened and he said he never got a clear answer, just that it was sent back to the guy who built his engine for inspection. If I recall he was merging onto the autobahn where becomes unrestricted soon after the on ramp. Good news is that warranty covered it all, bad news his they had to place a new engine in it was no longer all original. He was upset because he has the designo matte paint and was hoping to keep the car as a factory original collectible.

It is true that a most of the autobahn is restricted; especially, around cities/towns and whenever there are on/off ramps. There is also a lot of construction and one of my co-workers stated it is one method they control the speed by breaking up the longer stretches of unrestricted autobahn (not sure if it is really true, but it is believable enough).

If there are a lot of other cars, I keep it under 130 mph because cars do tend to jump into the left lane. Only when the cars in the right lane and about 100 yards apart do I go a little quicker. If you're in an accident and going over 130kph (~85mph) the police can (will) put you at fault even if the slower car pulled in front of you and truly caused the accident. People don't typically hang out in the left lane as it is illegal if not passing someone and is enforced. It is all a calculated risk.

Best places I've found are on the A1 when going to the Nuerburgring. A nice long straight with low traffic and a clear view (no trees/buildings). There is another one a view areas away when heading from the Stuttgart area towards Austria a little ways past Europa Park.
