Looking aggressive for a factory sport sedan.
I like the quad exhaust tips. Are they planing to replace the CTS-V with the ATS-V?

I guess they are moving the CTS upmarket a bit. The ATS-V will slot below the current CTS-V and the new CTS-V is expected to push 600+ horses and fetch more bucks.

This could be a pretty interesting package. From C&D:
"Offered as either a coupe or sedan, it’s packing a twin-turbo 3.6-liter V-6 making around 455 hp and 445 lb-ft. That power routes through the rear wheels via either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic. Brembo brakes lurk behind 18-inch wheels to ensure the V stops as well as it goes. On the interior, Recaro seats are standard . . . "
"60 mph comes up in less than four seconds, and top speed is a loin-tingling 189 mph. Stopping is handled by a wheel-stuffing Brembo big-brake kit utilizing 14.6-inch front and 13.3-inch rear rotors squeezed by six- and four-piston calipers. "
"Torsional rigidity is up 25 percent relative to the ATS. Spring rates are up 50 percent all around, and the bushings and ball joints are all new. GM’s typically wonderful Magnetic Ride Control magnetorheological adaptive dampers are present; in this car, they offer a 40-percent better response time and can adjust damping force more than once every inch of road traveled at 60 mph. I think they are on the right track
Stand alone profit center now
Moving hq to NYC
limited production, ie, a boutique or specialty marque
The ats v is a nice machine based on the ltd info
Can't find a wt although they say 650 lbs lighter than the lsst coupe
3500 lbs?
3,319 lbs to 3,693 lbs
2015 Cadillac ATS, Curb weight
Probably heavy end is awd

I actually like the new ATS and CTS models.. pitty they keep shoving that damn CUE system in there.. talk about a piece of crap.. might look modern.. but still far worse than Comand, which looks like something out of the 80's to begin with

i never liked the looks of the old cts-V but I absolutely love the looks of this ats-V and that magnetic suspension would be great to have.....I dunno this may tempt me.

We had a CTS-V for a couple of years. Nice enough car. Power was intoxicating, and for an overweight beast it went around a corner pretty well. It's main downfall was the tranny. It just wasn't made for a sport sedan. Shifting was damn slow and tuned excessively towards economy. Practically took an act of God to get it to downshift. If they fix that issue, a V might again be on my radar.

I checked out the CTS-V coupe when it first came out. I couldn't get past the exterior and I didn't like "the feel" of the car. I may have considered the ATS-V, but the turbo 6 kills it for me. I think I would get an RC-F before an ATS-V or an M4 just because of the N/A 5.0. These cars are more about "fun" than anything, robbing the car of it's roar takes away some of that fun.

I also caught the new Lexus RC F, which is yet another option to weight against the ATS-V.
