Front Fender Reflector Remedies...
OK, so I just picked up a 2014 507 Coupe, Polar White. What are my options for dealing with the unsightly amber reflector on the front fenders?
Paint them? What color? Wrap them? Black? CF? Help.
Also, how do they come out? Do I have to pull the wheel liner to get to them?

I picked up some clear side markers from ebay for cheap. Installation is a simple DIY once you get a feel for the mount. Pop the hood, reach in and access from the back. (there are a couple DIY threads on this forum)
You can also get smoked (dark) side markers, or you can go with paint matched (which I actually prefer, just havent pursued yet). I also have polar white and think clear markers looks pretty good .. much better than stock amber color.

I bought some OEM ones off eBay and a rattle can of my paint code. Primed, painted, cleared, and buffed and they came out perfectly matched, plus I still have my stock ones if I ever need to throw them back on. I wrapped the bulbs w/ electrical tape so I didn't have any light bleed through. Total cost for everything was maybe $60.
As far as installation, they are easy to access through the hood. Just get in there, locate the housings, twist the bulb out, and then undo one clip and it all comes out with a little bit of wiggling. Took me maybe 15 min for the first side and 5 min for the other.

I prefer them painted as well. They just look so much cleaner that way.

I'm definitely in the minority, but I like the obscene over-sized orange reflectors. Adds to the ridiculousness of the whole package.

I just wrap mine. On my previous sedan I had them painted.
As others have mentioned installation is pretty straight forward.
On the Black Series you have to undo a bit of the wheel liner as you have very little access to the bulb from the engine bay. Whichkind of surprised me but I guess is due to the wide arches.

I'm on your side. I think people want to mod their cars so badly that if the car came with clear or smoked side markers, people would be buying orange side markers to give the car some color.
