Are you talking about on the street or at the track? Regardless, you need to roll into the throttle in order to keep wheels from spinning, as spinning ain't winning. It takes practice in various modes, once you get car up to 40 mph you can really let it out. This certainly depends weather conditions etc - the colder the weather less traction you have. Enjoy new ride!

What AMG said applies to both Street and Track. You can apply more throttle at the track as there is more grip, but you can't simply mash the throttle and expect it to launch like a rocket. Proper throttle control and application helps with launching your car fast and efficiently.

Basically the same as a two foot launch, just use your left foot to hold the brakes, and rev to 2500 or so, let off the brake as you push the gas in, until about 50%, then let the car speed up and smoothly apply more throttle. Takes a few tries, but I've got it down for this car sofar.

American car modders do it all the time with an auto, they use a hydraulic system that holds the brakes, though. And releases them rapidly with the push of a button.

Thats for the burnout. Thats called a line lock. That locks the front brakes to aid the burnout. I think what you are reffering to is a trans brake. That engages reverse and first at the same time. And when the driver wants, he can deselect reverse and the car launches. The launch has nothing to do with the brakes.
Well, I certainly use my brakes to launch.

Stomp it at 4000rpm in 1st, I remember those days lol. Doing that now leads to lots and lots of smoke followed by a shift to 2nd with more smoke till bouncing off the rev limiter in 2nd doing 80kmh.
Now it's 1/8th throttle in first, hit 2nd, 1/4 throttle, hit 3rd now stomp it.

I tried launching on my winter tires (studded). I basically carved a bunch of little trenches into the road and slowly slid sideways. It was hilarious.

It's all practice and feel. You need to get a feel for how much reaction you have and how the car response. Practice makes perfect, every second red light try to take off quicker.

Traction control off. Heat up the tires. Stage. Left foot brake, right foot gas. Bring the revs up until the car starts to move (3500rpm). Stomp on the gas. It'll get you a 1.8 60' with drag radials.
