Complain to Mercedes-Benz (AMG) Luxembourg
Hello,
I would like to have your opinion on a complaint I have open at Mercedes-Benz Luxembourg and the current time it was rejected by my garage.
They give me the opportunity to put a bigger radiator but my expenses I find it unacceptable for a sports vehicle or problem and well known.
Yours

Sir
Concerns: Mercedes vehicle registered C63AMG PR 3333.
I am the owner of the vehicle above bought used at home in April 2013.
Since I have repeatedly pointed out to your services (Steve Da Cunha who handles vehicle family is well informed) the following problem:
When the engine is used intensely he gets overheated and the electronic system does not allow him to ride as it should because by default.
It suggested to me and repeatedly offered without concrete follow some solutions that would
- An oil cooler more consistent type black series
- A cover with more than 507 vents model
Since I claim for over a year now but unfortunately the words are not followed up, please - as long as I'm guaranteed-to offer me a match of my vehicle accordingly for it to work satisfactorily as we are entitled to expect of such a vehicle.
I hope we can find an amicable solution because I intend to stay in your customer; but you do not mind, please, to now demand that you give me a concrete and satisfactory solution having been patient and correction.
Pending from you at your earliest convenience, please, Mr. Dircetru, accept my thanks, my best regards.

I believe your referring to the oil cooler and the need for a higher capacity unit if the car is driven hard. If driven hard the oil temperature reaches a point that causes the ECU to go into limp mode.
This has been a known problem and I would be shocked if MB does anything except offer the larger cooler at your cost.
To offer it at their cost would open them up to do the same for many others.

I doubt they do anything for you. 1) you bought it used. 2) they will tell you it's not a track car and if you wanted one you should have bought a Black Series. 3) people have tried and failed already.

Its something increduble that for a car like that you have to complain for the oil cooler!!

No way your car is doing that. Our cars in texas don't even do that and were talking 108*F ambient temperatures with road surface temps at 130-140*F. It's only on track that there are problems, your wasting your time and money.

Like roadtalontsi said, the weather here in Texas is really hot in the summer and there isn't even a hint of over heating.

The car is a machine and MB will argue that a machine cannot be expected to perform at it's peak performance indefinitely. You and MB differ on how long the car should be able to perform "intensely."
MB sells (and has offered to you) an add on cooler package that helps alleviate overheating issues. You don't want to pay for it. So it's not really about solving the problem; it's about trying to solve the problem for free.
Correct me if I'm wrong here, but your car appears to be tuned as well. So you have no case at all anyway and Mercedes could technically void your engine warranty. Try dialing back your tune a bit.

As others mentioned the overheating problem on MCT cars only happens at the track during intensive runs. This should not happen on the streets even during spirited drives.
GL with your case but basically you'll loose.

I hope you are asking for your costs to do all this. If not you may win the battles but what the value is any award vs. what it cost you to get it may be significantly different and you will end up out of pocket on legal costs and still have a car that you will overheat on the track.

Original post was 2 yr ago then you post a few days ago that there was a ruling in your favour that DB is contesting so with courts being what they are I figured you were still in the fight and had the car fixed.
What the hell is the point if you sold it on.
Wasted our time and support. Don't get a car. Ride a bike with a helmut.

whats the point??? Are you joking??
yes i love the car but in this condition with a ****ing service i decided to sell it.
And now if i continue with this story in tribunal it because i dint like the mentality of the brand to try to make you pay for thinks that you dont have to!
Also, maybe it will help one other member who have the same truble with is car and the service of MB.
Anyway its bother you both? Change page on the forum....

I doubt anything will come out of this. This won't help other members because their car set up and circumstances would have to be exactly the same for anything to happen. No one is going to waste that much time and effort for such a small return.

I drive my car hard every once and a while but never once did it ever go into limo mode.
Maybe you had a bad oil temp sensor or low oil in the car?
The highest temps I've seen is like 244 and that was beating it really card and then hitting traffic in 80d weather
