Jrcart, with conversions that's about what we pay in the UK. Happy days at the moment as oil prices have dropped so it's nearer $8 a gallon but can get to $9 plus. You're obviosuly a man of means with a nice car and enough disposable income to spend that much on fuel.
Please bear in mind though, the average UK guy will spend about $15k on a new car so fuel costs are proportionally high and a MASSIVE consideration. I bet the average US guy doesn't spend $9 a gallon. I would actually be interested to know how much a normal gallon costs.
Also, that's not counting what our government calls road tax (ha ha) which everyone has to pay annually for car ownership and is supposed to be spent on road infrastructure but of course goes on other things.

Jrcart, you need to actually read posts before you go off on one. I specifically said that it would be stupid to dismiss the cla 45 without looking at it. I've made it clear I don't really know much about cars technically or mechanically and have been guided by the bmw forums where generally the super tuned 2 litre engine is ridiculed by euthsiasts such as yourself.

I do find it ironic though that you're jumping up and down about Mercedes using AMG Sport for what is essentially a very good car yet have no problem with a 2 litre 4 cyl using it. I thought you purists were 6 cyl guys lol.

You don't get it do you? It's not about the size of the engine. "you purists were 6 cyl guys"? Really? The C63 is a V8. If you knew anything, you'd know we are all lamenting the death of the M156 (that's the current NA [Naturally Aspirated, meaning no turbos or SC {superchargers}] engine that is in our current C63s) and while we know the new engine is superior to the old one in just about every way, we are going to miss the rawness and soul of the M156. The engine in the CLA 45 is a masterpiece of engineering for squeezing that much power RELIABLY AND SAFELY out of an engine that size. You clearly want the C450 AMG because you feel your dick is too big for the small 2.0 liter engine and need a big manly 6 cylinder.

The CLA 45 is a real AMG. I don't think a C450 can compete. Not even close. Its not even a AMG. Its just a tuned version of a C400.

Its never gonna compete with a real AMG. There is night and day difference.

I went from a 335i full bolt on with around 450 crank hp to the CLA45. Id take the CLA45 over it any day.


You really can't compare an AMG sport to an AMG or a M sport to a M. The sport versions are just slightly better versions of the regular cars and not a tame version of the real deal . Its like comparing the NBA D-Leage to to NBA. Yeah you have the NBA name but you're like slightly (if even that) better than college players. At the end of the day you aint **** compared to the NBA players.

Yes, I have it up for sale. I literally ran out of room, I have cars, trucks and motorcycles in my home garage, my shop and my moms garage lol. I have the GT S Edition 1 coming on April 1st and in addition to that have an opportunity to purschase something twice a sick as the SLS BS. The second one has a BIG price tag so I figured I need to part with the SLS I am friends with the owner of Chicago Motor Cars and he has the car on his showroom floor and advertisng it for me. If he sells it I will give him a cut...if it doesnt sell I keep it and got free indoor winter storage lol.

?...and no, I am not going to disclose the BIG toy, not until if happens

I think Mercedes is just unlucky with their naming system since all they can do is add AMG to show sportiness. I mean its not like Audi where they can just drop the R in RS5 and become S5 lol. I guess the reason they are now calling new C63 "AMG C63" is to differentiate full AMGs from amg sport models with AMG going first. Unfortunately the AMG badge has been subject to alot of abuse and in america we take badging very (too) seriously so this car has some hate. Shame though looks like its gonna be a great car, good option for those who wanted c63 for DD but wanted AWD. I for one dont mind it being called AMG sport model since there is an AMG suspension and AMG 4 matic etc etc

the one thing i just dont get is putting AMG Sport on the side. I've seen bmw's with the M sport package and it's not plastered on the outside, just the M on the steering wheel.

If they want to make a sub amg sport model like this leave the name off the side and leave it subtle on the inside or just call it C450S

The normal C300 with sport package doesnt have AMG badge either (this is more in line with M Sport line)

Now check the M235i that thing has like 30 M badges or sth lol
