Girodisc 2 piece rotors are a direct replacement for the OE disc. No modifications are necessary. The disc will bolt directly to the car and work with OE calipers perfectly. By upgrading your brakes with lightweight high performance replacements as opposed to a big brake kit, your factory bias is maintained as well as your ABS efficiency.

Girodisc rotor replacements have shown a significant weight reduction in the form of up to 7-8 pounds per corner. That is a potential total decrease in unsprung weight of up to 30 pounds! This reduction in rotational and unsprung weight allows for quicker acceleration and suspension response.

The central hat section of the disc is made from 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum. The disc is made from cast iron to the same specification and material as used by professional racing organizations. As opposed to the OEM disc, these rotors are side specific featuring a curved vane design, developed in racing to act as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc, venting properly and cooling the brakes efficiently.

The rotor and hat have a floating mount system, which utilizes 10 high strength alloy steel drive pins, manufactured to our own specifications and cadmium plated for a long lasting corrosion resistance. These pins take the load from braking actions while maintaining the axial and radial float between the hat and disc. In order to keep the rotors from making noise when cold, the pins are mounted with anti-noise spring washers on the rotor side which allow the rotor to grow with heat expansion but eliminate the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors. This float also allows the rotor to self center between the pads.

When used with performance pads and hi-temp fluid, you have what amounts to a truly amazing solution to overheating or warping rotors.

No you didn't, it was a typo my apologies.

The Stage 2 should have porterfields listed as the pad option whereas the 2+ is Endless MX72 pads.

Thank you for catching that!

Oh that makes perfect sense. Thanks for the clarification.

Rotors and pads are still in really good shape but I'll be all over this when it comes time for replacements. Outstanding package/offering!

Are the rotors available for purchase for the rears, I have an 09 c63 with the p30 pack and the rears aren't a floating rotor so would possibly like to upgrade, if so what kind of weight savings?

Of course, I can do just the rears. Weight savings for the rears are going to be aabout 7 pounds per corner.

Hey Tal. How much for just the rotor rings? I bought the Girodiscs off you, so already have the hats. Postal is 98281.
Also...the brake lines? I didnt do those. You didnt have stock right at that moment I dont think.

Thanks.

And guys I can tell you that other than the lines I have this set up. The Girodiscs, with the RS4s and the Motul. I have a P30 but saw the chance to save unsprung weight, upgrade in stopping power, save money and save even more later as the hats are reusable unlike the MB "2 piece" rotors (research that and you'll see why I airquoted the 2 piece). Anyways, this is a great package. Track days there is little to no fade. Hammer into the corner hard the whole session no problem. On the street they are excellent right from start up and dont need a lot of heat. They are quiet and the RS-4s have a lot less dust. Particularly over the p30/31 pad. And Tal, well, he's Tal. Totally great guy to deal with. Chill. Does what he says he's gonna do when he says he's gonna do it. It's all I can ask.

If you want to upgrade around town and have your eye on spring and a track day or two I give this 5 out of 5 stars.

And btw. if you are halfway handy, this is an easy DIY. Here in Canuckistan a full P30 job at the dealer would have cost me just over 5k. Seriously. This is half that. Weighs less. Stops faster. Quieter. Less dust. Throw the moneys down and enjoy. Yes, I am enthusiastic on this one.
