My Dealership tells me need to change engine and transmission mounts ...question: My car is 2008 with only 19k miles...should I expect this to be normal..costs is 1200 buck

That sounds a bit shady... are there any unusual vibrations or noises that would prompt you to think something is wrong?

its more likely a pulsation dampener but ive seen mounts fail earlier than that. rubber and texas dont mix well. what dealer are you using?

Buy the parts online, you will save a lot of money. Transmission mount is only 50-60$, engine mounts 125$, so total parts cost under 350$ incl. shipping. Transmission mount labor: 30 minutes, front engine mounts a bit more. I think you can get it all done for half the dealer quote.

i thought only cars with ABC like the e63 have pulsation dampeners?

Yes you are correct about the ABC part. E's never had abc. Only S, SL, CL .
signature says s63 - alot of other model owners poke in here to ask questions because c63 section sees alot more active owners.
