Looks like a vacuum leak to me.

Wouldn't a code come up for that?

That is what puzzles me. But the way the revs go up and down could indicate a small leak not enough to generate a CEL.
If you can monitor your fuel trims that would be a good start.

I'm at the workshop now. He's going to spray brake cleaner to see if there's a leak

Found a vacuum leak from intake manifold gasket. Sprayed brake cleaner and it nearly stalled.

Could that be the sole cause of this? Would it cause loss of power and rough idle when hot?

Yes the leak would cause all your symptoms.

Not necessarily. We can have a vacuum leak - car will run lean - and not having any issue power wise. Car would run good only idle would be rough.
You probably have something else if you feel a power loss. A leak means extra air into the engine therefore ECU will try to compensate up to a certain level by injecting more fuel! Any misfire codes?
I would as well check your PCV valve and clean your MAFs just in case.

It's not power loss as such but more a delay in throttle response/power. It lags a bit occasionally.

No codes at all. Had it checked.
But the engine feels like it has the occasional miss on idle and it just doesnt feel right on the accelerator and when taking foot off the accelerator. Feels like a gearbox issue. Could that be the Vacuum leak?

The car has started to lurch forward at slight braking in traffic and when releasing throttle in traffic.

Just wanted to say thank you
So far so good.

Intake manifold gasket replaced where the leak was coming from and drives like a brand new car now. Response is back etc. Holds power well, idle's nice and hard and no fluctuation in revs/idle.

Thanks once again.
