Semi-stock 2012 C63 P31 drag runs
Hey guys, ran my car at the track today (Bradenton Motorsports) and got a best time of 12.143@115.2 mph. Got three runs in: 12.28, 12.18, and 12.14. I did the power brake launch this time which netted me quicker times compared to when I previously used race launch and got a best of 12.38@114.6. Weather was perfect at 71 F and the track was hooking. These runs were done on Goodyear Eagle Sport A/S (came with car) at stock tire pressures.
Specs of on my car:
2012 C63 coupe with 29k miles
black - black/anthracite
blind spot/lane recognition
keyless-go
locking differential (LSD)
bi-xenons
navigation w/rearview camera
AMG Performance Package
carbon fiber interior
mods:
charcoal filter delete
AFE ProDry S filters
Here are videos of the three runs:
12.28 -
12.18 -
12.14 -

Thanks man. I'm pretty happy with the times for being stock. Yeah, I'm going to get the ROW boxes and tune next and then later on, LT headers and retune.

Thats good driving to pull those times with that setup.
But still. Did you have to get smoked by a yellow challenger?
Seriously, I don't think Ive seen anyone run any quicker with your limited mods.
Nice work.

12.109@116.93mph here, same mods, same model year. You're dead on point, good driving. What were your 60' times?

Thanks guys! I just picked her up this December and absolutely love this car. More mods to come.
Yeah, that Challenger was super quick. Left me like I was standing still. He had to be running low 10's and I'm pretty sure he was supercharged. I also think this is the fastest my car will go with these mods. Might go a little quicker on a colder day.
That's a good time and mph BLKROKT! Best mph I could get was 115.2. Thanks! Launching by power braking netted me better times than launch control. Best 60' was 1.896 with these Goodyear tires.

Nice 60ft for street tires, that was always the biggest challenge I thought was getting the car off the line. I managed a 1.87 best on stock Conti's and several other 1.8x runs but I didn't find it easy to do lol drag radials made it a lot simpler.

Agreed. My best 60' with Nitto DRs was 1.876. Never had a problem hooking, just couldn't figure out how to get the car preloaded enough to get off the line quickly, even with Race Start. Much better than street tires though, so worth a shot.

1. Stage at the line so both yellow lights light up
2. Wait for other guy to stage and then apply brake.
3. Rev to about 1500rpm and when light gets to second yellow on the tree, release brake, roll into the throttle, and then floor it.
Depending on how the track is hooking, you can preload the car with more rpms and punch the throttle a lot quicker after takeoff. On my last run, I think I revved to 2k rpm.

Did that. Same 60's, no difference. Even went higher RPM until the brakes were about to give. No better. I guess I just have a slug off the line.
