AMG once said they would only do BS on coupes! (I really hope they change their mind one day but their argument was its a purpose built car for the track) So I expect it on the new AMG GT and probably the Facelifted W205 Coupe in a few years time.
Rumours are they might go away from the 'black series' name as well

I like the stripe on the steering wheel

watched the full video, there is a lot to like about that car aesthetics aside.
adjustable dampers, valve controlled exhaust modes, limited slip standard, optional cf brakes if you're made of money, better mpg
there is just a lot to love about this car.

This car will be a animal
Engine wise it will be a tuners dream looks wise hrmmmm with a nice set of wheels maybe some carbon bits and a bit of lowering it might look good the the standard looks is just plain fugly

Watching the review you can tell that he was digging really deep trying to like it. He kept mentioning the power over and over and over and it looks like his liking the car was soo forced...but if you know Chris Harris reviews, he gushes about a car in every way if he likes it. He ties the overall look, to the interior, to the power and uses more terms like "brilliant" and "phenomenal" and "unbelievable"...Because it appears he was trying to be politically correct and appease the automaker, he focused on the increase in power and some build updates.
You can almost get the sense he felt uncomfortable in his own skin, itching to say the car looks like crap and power isn't everything, especially with the heat soak that engine will experience...just ask BMW and their turbo positioning in the engine bay.
You can also tell that the W204 hold a special place as far as styling and performance with him. He was almost suffering through the whole review...as if he wanted to express how much more badass the w204 C63 6.3 V8 is....
New is definitely cool but I am happy I have my w204 C63. This car does nothing for me...

Here we go again.....Is that a joke?
Won't happen. BS is usually a 2 doors beast.
As for the power it has to be one as this same 4.0tt will be used in the E63 soon!!
...
Would love to see a W205 BS sedan. That would be frickin amazing.
Over-all im not sold on the exterior styling. it is a power house though, that block looks tough. Im sure its over built and detuned for the C63.
Lets see what our tuners do with the M177 after they get their hands on one.

Put a V8 in the new M3 and they'd be sold out over any other car in the market.
Shame they went with the 3.0TT Inline 6.
The new M177 is no doubt a quick setup but.. i can't get my head around driving a fast ugly car.

Ford Truck, 2014 C63 AMG 507
As a few others have said, I'm glad I purchased when I did. Once I heard the 6.2 was being discontinued my mind was made up.
I did get into a W205 at a car show two weeks ago and see nothing in the interior I liked better than a 507 interior. I did see things I didn't like, the column shifter and command screen. That thing is a suction cup away from being stuck on the windshield like a Tom Tom.
While in the drivers side another guy sat in the passengers side. He reaches for the command screen and asked me if it is removable. He also disliked it.

I would never get the new C63 for the following reasons:
* made in Alabama! A Proper Benz, especially an AMG, must be made in Germany
* interior is not as "solid"/feels cheaper. Feel the weight of the doors and you'll see it's less substantial than the W204. Note how Harris called the steering switch feel "Korean"! And listen to those power seat motors - not quite as expensive sounding as the W204. Make no mistake, corners were cut
* turbos. I hate 'em!
* reliability- with the turbos and electronic dampers, shocks, steering...this is not a car you'll keep for 100,000 miles. Whereas the W204 is.

Furthermore, note how Harris didn't talk about Throttle Response!
Hmmm... Anyone wonder why? Because it's no match for the linear response of the M156

i went back and watched his goodbye to the 6.2L c63 video from last year and then watched this again and you can certainly see the difference then.
This is a guy who loved the previous version, and it seemed he really likes the new engine he just didnt seem to like the w205 nearly the same way....but they're different beasts.
Personally I'm hoping the new release brings 507 series prices down more and then I can "upgrade"
