Sidemarker warning light on, bypass?
Hey guys,
So this is for you guys who have painted sidemarkers.. I just got mine installed but the shop accidentally left the bulbs inside so I went home and took the bulbs out and put the socket back in but when I got in to my car, the warning light to check front right and left sidemarker lamp came on. Is there a way to bypass this warning light or do you guys just ignore it? Or is there another way to avoid the warning light? Obv I dont need the bulbs now that I have painted reflectors.. Any advice is appreciated, thank you.

you can probably:
1) opt to leave the bulb in, especially if it's painted well enough to block any light from peeking out. there is no gain by taking the bulb out if the sidemarker is painted, unless you reallly need to ensure that no light ever peeks out.
2) figure out what kind of resistors you can use to replace the bulbs.
3) keep the bulb on and tape the wiring/socket/bulb with high temp electrical tape to somewhere on the panel adjacent to the sidemarker.

Order LEDs and crush the bulbs so they act as resistors ... these cost me $10
