My New (to me) 2013 C63 P31
I decided to start my own thread to introduce everyone to my baby. She a white 2013 C63 with every option available from the factory except the LSD. Let me say it so that you don't have to - what was the original owner thinking not getting the LSD?!
Before the C63, I was the proud owner of an 2009 E93 M3, but had been looking at C63's for a while, browsing the internet and looking for one that fit my wants/needs. I had a little girl in August of 2013 and, over the course of the first year of her life, I had driven my M3 between 600-800 miles. (I have an GMC Terrain that is my DD.) I quickly realized that my "fun car" needed to have 4 doors (hello carseat) and preferably more power than my current one - enter the C63 AMG. I began looking in September and throughout the next few months I saw several that peaked my interest. I saw the one that eventually became mine around the middle of January 2015. The deal was finalized a week later and I was one happy camper.
(I will post some pics of the inside very soon. I just don't have any handy at the moment. It has the two-toned black and beige interior.)
As with other cars I've owned, I drove it for a few weeks and quickly decided that I need to make some appearance modifications. Over the next 6 weeks, it jumped from shop to shop. Here's what was done:
- Windows Tinted (15%)
- Wheels powder-coated gloss black
- Trim around windows vinyl-wrapped gloss black
- Grill and DRL's painted gloss black (distronic star is still chrome)
- All grill items that were already black (but grayish at this point), including front splitter, were re-sprayed gloss black
- OEM rear diffuser sanded and sprayed gloss black
- All emblems (side and rear) blacked out
- Chrome trim piece on rear painted gloss black
Some AFTER pics:
Moving forward I would like to do some minor performance mods, but I haven't started on those yet. Here's what I have in mind:
- Eurocharged V5 Tune (I purchased the Tune + Handheld but haven't installed it yet)
- Long Tube Headers (I don't know which ones yet)
- Air Box & Filters (ROW? Carbonio? Renntech? I don't know)
- Cat-back Exhaust (Again I don't know which one yet)
I've really enjoyed belonging to this forum for the past few weeks and reading up on all the info within.
Any and all comments and/or advice would be greatly appreciated.

You're going to love it and you won't regret going C63 vs. M3. Don't get me wrong, I loved that M3, but the way this car pulls is nothing short of AMAZING. Plus, I have always wanted a clean white car that is blacked out - my favorite look!

Thanks Kriston. Your C63 is one that has become sort of a "role model" to mine.
Thanks Mort!
I didn't have any pics of the back or the interior when I posted this, but I will take some and post em soon.

I am going to get pics of the rear up this week to show the emblems, trunk trim and rear diffuser all painted black.

Welcome! Very very nice transformation. Not sure about the middle star yet but blends well with the color combo. You have the V5 tune and not installed it yet , it literally takes less than 30 min so get on it! I'm not sure how you have held out this long .

beautiful ride, man. I wrapped my chrome window trim with gloss black vinyl the other week, night and day difference and looks like BMW's shadowline which IMO every sports car should have.
could you post pics of the back?

has anyone wrapped their chrome handles? the shop I went to (deviant autosport if you're around Houston) offered to do it but I wasn't sure how good it would actually look. I'm going in to get the fog light surrounds done soon and still debating the handles.

100$ per handle? Wow, that is robbery lol
Have them vinyl to match ur car color, it should be no more than 20$ & no one will tell if they are painted or wrapped since it's such a small area of the car.

2013 C63 AMG and 2002 Ford Explorer Sport
I just picked up my 2013 C63 on Friday and looking to do the black out thing. Did you paint the trim pieces yourself or have someone do it for you? Curious to know as I'm pretty much ready to begin. I won't powdercoat the OEM AMG wheels, but will keep them as spares. Nice job though.

It was a convertible, so I miss that a little bit. I was also much more comfortable at higher speeds around turns (like on/off ramps), but it may just taking some time getting used to the C63.
All in all, I like the C63 better. The torque at low speeds is intoxicating!
Why thank you sir!
Yeah I'm just not a fan of chrome on cars. It baffles me when I see a car that has ADDED chrome accents
Improved looks are only a few dollars and a few shops away
