AMG at Hertz!
This E63 (corrected - C63) was at the front of the Hertz line in Savannah, GA. Their fleet at the Atlanta airport had a black E63.
I asked about a swap but the daily rate for the AMG was about the same as the weekly rate on my F-CAR. The counter guy said they sometimes run a sale at $250/day . . .

Ha, you're right! I'd seen the E63 at Atlanta earlier that day and assumed that Savanna's car was the same.
website is http://hertzdreamcars.com/
One of the Houston dealers had 10 or 12 used C63s show up and we were all wondering where they came from. Most assumed that they were from the AMG schools, but I'm now wondering if they could have all been from Hertz.

Ok so here is a funny story on this...
A few of my chicago friends wanted to come to houston for TX2K15. Well they got a new E63 from Hertz for a hell of a deal ($170 a day) with unlimited mileage.
Drove it to houston for the week, raced it at night, and drove it back and dropped her off...
with 3200 more miles!!!!

Unless you're having a special occasion (birthday, anniversary, wedding), I don't understand how people spend so much on rental cars. It's wasted money.
All rental cars are abused.

Driving it hard without letting it warm up or as in the above example no proper break in. Gunning it on every light isn't how amg wanted it driven ideally... It's still mechanical and made of the same relative materials other motors are made of and it's not indestructible
It will fail sooner if abused...

2013 C63 AMG
Okay, I can see how the whole beating on it without letting it properly warm up could lead to the possibility of issues later down the road, however I thought that is has already been established that these motors are already broken in and thoroughly tested by AMG on a dyno.
Most of these cars that have been put up for sale that were previously hertz rentals have relatively low mileage (less than 10,000 from what ive seen) and have been 2013-14 models. The damage that someone could have caused by "abusing" it for a short period of time would be negligible in my opinion. Especially if the car has been properly maintained and still under factory warranty.
If they are putting these cars up for sale near the end of the warranty period with a lot of mileage then yeah I'll jump on the bandwagon and agree that its not wise to touch it but declaring that you should never buy a relatively new c63 with lets say 3,000 miles on it solely on the grounds that it was a previous hertz rental just doesn't seem like a good argument to me. Again just my opinion..
