please evaluate my rear tire wear

Normally, I would have replaced my tires long before they got this bad but it caught me by surprise since I've only been on them for 7551 miles.

Do you have a lsd installed in your car? I ask because you have more wear on one side.

Other than that, the wear is normal. You have to remember that you also have long tube headers installed in your car.

I'd say they look absolutely normal with a modestly agressive alignment other than extremely over worn

What kind of tires? I destroyed my P-Zero and my PSS both in 5K miles each!

You've been risking the lives of everyone on the road for about 2000 miles!

I was commenting about the wear on tires, not about the safety. He has LT headers and an assortment of other power upgrades. I have been driving with my ARH LT headers installed for about 2k miles, the added power definitely has a positive correlation to your rear tire wear. The fact that he was able to make it 7700 miles is pretty good. I'm also curious about what type of tires he was running.

Judging by the way he way the tires looked after 7700 miles, he was just endangering the lives of other people for about 1k miles, not 2k.

C63 has too much rear toe which causes the rear tires to be scrubbing 24/7 wearing them down quicker.

I removed all but a small portion of the rear toe and my rear tires wear more consistent.

I've only had them on for 4 months... it was just unexpected...

Which nexens?

I've tried n3000 and n5000 and they wear great compared to these...

Pss had better traction... but for me the nexens worked well as an all season (rain) and lasted twice as long... and then there's the price difference... i went through 2 sets of the pss but couldn't keep using them for a daily driving tire..

Anyone think that my alignment could have helped to the tire wear or was it just that these tires were just softer than my previous...

whichever model i had was a super aggressive tread pattern, it was awful in the wet.

if i daily drove mine i wouldnt keep putting PSS on them either, just gets too cost prohibitive if you arent tracking the car.

if you got 7500 out of the rears thats not bad, from what ive read around here most get 5k on michelins so i think your alignments probably fine.

You run cheap all-seasons on a State 3 Supercharged C63?

I guess it was not raining recently otherwise you would have realized this earlier on the highway
Be careful you might not be as lucky next time.

“Anyone think that my alignment could have helped to the tire wear or was it just that these tires were just softer than my previous. . .”

GONE ARE THE DAYS WHEN “FULL FRONT AND REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT” MEANS WHAT IT SAYS!

ONLY OEM ADJUSTMENT IS “FRONT AND REAR TOE”

For the front (only) you can purchase “one position” offset slotted bolts for the 4 main front bushings. But these only allow a miniscule .3 of one degree (1/8 of an inch – 3mm). And to change setting means labour intensive disassembly each time.

We saw the need therefore to design, manufacture “precisely adjustable replacement bushings” for the front providing both Camber and Caster adjustment and with 3 times the adjustment range of the one position bolts.

For the rear also precise Camber adjustment with additional Toe adjustment to compensate for the new Camber facility.

The patented K-MAC design allows full precise ongoing front and rear adjustment capability – “single wrench” (no disassembly, on car, accurately under load).

To correctly resolve costly, premature inner edge tire wear, steering pull, improving traction, allowing to return to factory specs after curb knock damage, fitting wide profile tires / wheels, altering height or just the advantage to be able to change settings for “track days”.

YOU FIX IT RIGHT THE 1St. TIME WITH K-MAC – No more ongoing trips to dealers or alignment shops or constantly changing tire brands because of only Toe adjustment or the minimal adjustment offered from inaccurate one only position offset bolts!

Bonus is the 4 front (and the 4 rear) bushings also replace the highest wearing suspension bushes. The K-MAC patented design allows twice the load bearing area with the front bushes being 2 axis/self aligning without the use of oil and air voids. Result is improved brake, traction and steering response.

Also importantly K-MAC rear adjusters move lower arms/tires inwards when wanting to reduce inner edge tire wear/improve traction (unlike “Camber Arms” that move top of tires outwards diminishing essential clearance to outer fender).

All kits come with instructions and bush extraction/insertion tubes (MB World member Heiss Rod has kindly provided step by step picture sequence re front bush installation. See https://mbworld.org/forums/w211-amg/518431-k-mac-bushing-install-guide-w211-airmatic.html )

W204 Front kit (Camber and Caster) #502616K $480.

W204 Rear kit (Camber and Extra Toe) #502226K $480.

Including airmatic.

Special promotional price delivery for MB World members USA/CANADA $30 one kit or $40 for front and rear (average delivery time 3 – 4 days). Payment Visa, M/Card or PayPal.

Ya why not?? Ice had RE11s on it and they barely make a difference in traction. I'm not racing at a road course so what do I care? I just burn the rears off anyways so why burn an expensive tire off?
