09 C63 Command Unit Cycling thru radio & nav functions...??
First, yes I searched all the forums. No I didn't find the precise answer or I wouldn't ask.
The quickest version I can explain;
I did not drive or start the car a few weeks. My battery (less than 6 months old) was drained, completely dead. Obviously I have an issue there to contend with.
Back to subject; I jump started the car. Everything back to normal with the car seemingly with the exception of the Command Unit. It turns on, MB logo appears, radio comes on, nav starts and says "nav loading" then switches back to radio, then back to nav loading screen. This cycle repeats itself continuously. I can restart the unit and same thing over and over.
So before I go to dealer to be told, "buy a new Command unit sir" I am seeking advice from anyone who may have experienced this scenario or something similar. I've been able to figure out a lot on this car but here I am stumped.
Thanks in advance.

How is the battery doing in terms of voltage? These cars get loopy with electronics if voltage is low. Things like that, or auto windows stop working, or random electrical quirks usually point to a weak battery.

This story ended with no easy solutions. The Comand unit was replaced by the dealership. The first unit they installed did the same thing, cycling off and on. This led me to believe the obvious problem is in the car wiring not the Comand unit. It took them a couple weeks with consultation from MB engineering in Germany I am told by dealership. Then they installed a second Comand unit and everything works. It works great but I'm not sure how it was actually resolved.
