Intrument Cluster Temperature Question
So I always drive with the AMG menu showing all the data (oil&water temp, gear selection, transmissions setting, ESP setting, speed).
The temps are displayed in blue until they reach normal operating temperature and then turn white (then red if you push it hard). My water temp recently stopped going blue, even though I'm 98+% sure 69 Fahrenheit isn't supposed to be in the "white range". Is this correct?
Anyone know when these should turn blue to white to red? (Temps are different for oil and water obviously)

I live in Houston, so perhaps we just don't see "cold", but I've never seen my 2014's coolant temp in blue.
I've only ever seen the oil temp blue till the magic 176F when it then gets put in S+.
On the flip side, I've also never seen red for the gauge either, but never tracked the car, so my quick highway sprints only ever get her up to ~240ish (and then she's still in the white).
The manual (pg 219) states "if the engine oil temperature is below 176F (80C) the oil temperature is shown in blue. Avoid driving at full engine output during this time."
(so also don't reference red, nor coolant temp color change)

Coolant doesn't read blue, only oil.

PurpleHeart is correct, only oil temp starts blue. I've also hit 280+ oil temp on track and have gone into limp mode, but my oil temp has never turned red. I actually wished it did and gave some type of warning before going limp.

Sorry, new to the forum. What does limp mode mean?
