2015 AMG C63 Edition 1
Waiting for delivery on a 2015 AMG C63 Edition 1, anyone else?
I'm new to this forum and soon to be a proud owner of a 2015 AMG C63s Edition 1. I've been a car guy my whole life, and have had a love affair with German cars. I've owned many different vehicles, and tend to switch them out often. My last 3 cars were Porsches, and have never owned a MB before (not sure why as I've loved many of them over the years). I'm truly excited to take delivery of this bad *** car though! Anyway, I have a couple questions. First, my dealer told me they're not going to charge me over sticker (MSRP 87K), as most dealerships will do on this car because of the limited number of Edition 1'S being built. Does this hold true and is this the best deal I'm gonna get? Second, does anyone have experience with the resale of Edition 1's? I'm curious, since the price is on the higher side of a C63's base, and its a pretty specific design. And last, is anyone else out there waiting on this car too?
Thanks fellow car geeks!

As far as the edition one's, the 2012 coupes had a pretty good resale value when they were popping out for sale.

Early congrats and welcome! What options did you get (if even available)?
From what I have seen, the 507 were a sought after edition for the C63 and they held their value a little bit more. So I'm sure the edition one will follow.

i just bought a '12 Edition 1 about a month ago. It was not priced any higher(that I could tell) from a non Edition 1 car. It was a certified car w/ 12k miles.

I disagree with the above comments. First editions usually hold their value much worse than subsequent releases. Just look at the first year W204 C63s for example, or the first year of the Porsche 996. Takes a year or two to work out the bugs. No need to tell anyone here about the headbolt issues, and as a result the FL cars fare significantly better on the secondary market. Then you have the C63 S which will further erode the value.
Congrats on the buy though. It's sure to be a tremendous car.

I was told the dealer here in Vancouver has one on the showroom floor as of Friday.
I know why Vancouver got prompt delivery (theres almost as many as there are Honda Accords it seems like) but I cant figure out how that doesnt have to get into somebodys driveway right away.
Maybe there is a "Do not deliver to customer before xx/xx/2015" date? Some kind of attempt at delivery parity for the new model?
At any rate, Im going to go down tomorrow and slobber on it. Sorry if belongs to someone on this board
