19x9.5 et 40 rear wheel
So I ordered brand new m510. They sent me 19x9.5 et40 for the rear. I pocked a 265 michelin pss for the tires. I didn't know any better and of course they rub. My car is not lowered, so far I rolled the rear fenders and grinder some more off where the bumper meets the rear quarter. Is there anything else I can do to make these work. The shop doesn't want to take them back even after they chose the offset.
Thanks in advance.

Depending on how much metal is on the wheel, you could have a machine shop grind a few mm's off the back side of the wheel so they sink in a little bit.
I believe Kriston did this with a set of HRE's.

I would call the shop and send the wheels back. If they not willing to work with you then stop payment on your credit card.

OP -- The RIGHT and BEST thing to do is to try and send the wheels back to the shop. A good vendor will work with you especially if the wheels are still mint. What I said isn't the best way to go but really the only thing you can do to get the wheel in a little bit. Or put a 255 tire back on the rear. I'd stop messing with the fenders.

Take a picture of how the wheel sits with the fender. I'm curious to see just how much poke you're dealing with.

PSS's are chunky. Even if you machine the back pads down you will be left with an offset of 43-44. You may be able to squeeze in a rounded side wall tire like a Falken 453 or Toyo T1S. But the PSS's will be a tight fit if lowered.

Thanks for the replies. I am not lowered and for now its not in the plans. I took some pics. I wanted good tires. This combo has 300km on it. and where shipped. i will try to be in contact with the shop today. 3mm would probably get me to stop rubbing but if I ever decided to lower it, it couldn't happen with these rear wheels.
Thanks

From looking at the pictures, 3mm wont help you... return them & dispute your credit card if you have proof mentionning you were getting 19x9.5 +45 or +50.
Good luck!

That last picture shows a fair amount of poke. At this point, best action is to call them up and try to get different wheels. If you still have stock wheels I'd put those on before you chew up your fenders, rub/crack paint, etc. while you figure out what is going on with those wheels.
You could also just take the wheels off, pop the tires off and sell the wheels in search of a new set. I get that it is a pain, mounting and dismounting has it's cost, so does shipping and depreciation for people who aren't going to pay full price privately even if mint.
Live and learn my friend. Best of luck

You can run those wheels, but will need a 255 / 30 /19 in a rounder profile tire. If you really want to keep them.

Ya . Im not to far from Ottawa at all. Il try to shoot some front pics tonight. Theres no issue up front. They did suggest to machine the back of the wheel. But to me that will void manufacture warranty. The wheels in question are Avant grade m510. I love the look on the car just want them to fit.
Roswell i will let you know when Im headed that way.
Thanks

Wheels looks good, too bad they are not fitting right.
Just sell them & move on would be ur best bet.
I believe AG wheels are not too expensive.
