Hey guys.. its been a while since I've posted here. Here's my issue:

So I went out for a drive to meet up with friends this evening and the weirdest thing happened - I started her up as per normal and I couldn't shift from the "P" position.

I couldn't figure out what in the world happened and got my iPhone out and Googled on how to get out of this mess. So it turned out its as simple as opening up the leather gear shifter cover, press the yellow lock down and shift the gear out. However it looks like I have to do this all the time when I am in "P" and that was only a temporary fix.

Does anyone know what's the best to go about this? Get that piece of plastic removed or replaced?

Sounds like the brake/shifter interlock went bad. Shouldn't be a big deal, but then again, it's MB so who knows!
