Coilovers in Boston - crazy?

So, I've got some suspension bits that could use some replacing. This has me considering some coilovers (H&R or kw) and well, I'm wondering if I'm off my rocker.

The roads here are 100% dismal. Are coilovers just insane for someone who actually drives the crap out of their car (through traffic and the city) on a daily basis?

If so, I'll just start trolling for some stock take off suspension bits and I'll save myself a healthy amount of duckets.

Thanks,
Tom

Nope, with kw v3, it is more comfortable than stock. The ability to absorb rough surfaces is way better than stock. Plus you could set the damping and rebound to some what soft setting, and still get the handling improvements. With dropped heights, you get better handling as well. When i just got it back, it was insanely lowered, and when i switched lane, the car felt like go cart, responsive and stable.

You can keep all the OME functionality With the MSS springs and you can also lower the car to 30mm the comfort is great

I live in Boston actually south shore and will be going with KV3. Hell my shocks at 80,000 are completely shot so anything will be a ride improvement for me and I am looking for improved handling.

Built 2008 G55 & one big 80 Series LandCruiser !
I ran my RS6 on KW3's when I lived up there..... but stayed on 18" rims to have a prayer of keeping them straight......still didn't work ..... the ride of the KW's I been in on the W204's is very smooth and controlled..... I'll go that route when I need to replace the OEM setup.
