Gearbox software - what can be changed?
Hi folks,
Anybody know if it's possible to resolve the following issues by remapping the gearbox software?
• When in M mode driving slowly it won't let me shift up if the next gear up will bring the engine below about 1300rpm. But in any of the auto modes (ie. C/S/S+) it will shift up itself and bring the engine as low as 1000rpm.
• Similarly when shifting down in M mode it seems to have a conservative rev limit, so it won't let you shift down if the engine will be revving quite high consequently, even though it will still be under the redline
• It won't let you start off from a stand still in 2nd gear when in M mode, even though it will do it in C mode. Sometimes I find this frustrating especially on small roundabouts where you want to get your foot down quickly, but first gear is impractical. You have to shift immediately and a 2nd gear start would be nicer.
Appreciate any input.
Cheers,
Rich
