Ok so today I'm at the Jeep dealership showing a salesman my 2014 C63 with 6k miles and I blip the throttle a couple times only revving the motor to around 3500-4000rpm then all of a sudden without my foot pressing the pedal (right after I blipped it) the motor revs up quickly to almost the rev limiter then comes back down.

I then drove the car an hour away to a friends house to show him the car and the drive there everything was normal. As he's checking out the car I revved it a couple times again to around 4k rpm and the car revved itself again to redline then came back down normally. WTF is going on? V5 tune? I have never seen anything like this before!

Mine has done this too... not sure why, but the first time it scared the crap out of me. I'd be interested to know as well!

I'm kind off glad it's not just me but definitely scary. I might flash back to the stock tune and see if I can replicate it. Weird thing is this car sounds so darn good I always find myself blipping the throttle. I have had the V5 tune in for almost 3 weeks and it just started happening yesterday so no clue if it's tune related it not.

take off the tune and send it to dealer, asap. imo

Mine did this when starting up with a new flash. Had just installed the headers, flashed the car. Started it up and let it idle for 15-20 sec. Gave the throttle a blip, and the RPM shot to redline for 1-2sec or so. Hasn't happened since.

Intake manifold leak. Mine did the same thing. Has nothing to do with the tune.

Had it happen to me once. Never happened again.

Interesting! I did have my manifold gaskets replaced not long ago, but haven't really revved it since, outside of driving.
