C63 FBO vs E92 M3 DCT ESS-550 kit
Hi guys,
I just sold my 335i FBO and looking to buy a C63 or M3 DCT.
With the C63 i would go FBO (headers, tune, exhaust) and for the M3 i probably would buy the ESS-550 kit and some test pipes.
Do any of you guys happen to have owned both a FBO C63 and supercharged M3? I know the C63 will have more TQ, especially down low...the M3 might be a little bit better in the corners etc. But how about 0-60 and 60-130 times??
I know i am asking this on the Benz forums but i hope to get some serious reply's. I love both the M3 and the C63...i am just curious about your opinions.

The VT1-550's arent that fast. My FBO C63 on MS109 beat the FBO VT1-550 and the FBO VT2-595's with ease(the Torque puts you out in front of the 595 but he slowly reels you in after 130ish in the 1/2). I had my hands full with the VT2-625, I would jump out ahead and he would reel me in and end up beating me by a car length or two in the 1/2 mile. Strap on a weistec supercharger or a 100 shot of nitrous and you'll easily walk by a 625.
Heres a VT2-625 and an FBO C63

tough decision.
i actually took a ride in a 625 m3 two days ago. the sound, power delivery, and overall feel of the car made me want one. it literally felt like everything in my thoracic cavity was in the rear of the car. you will quickly forget about the lack of tq.
but, given your two options.. i'd say go with the ess m3. fbo is really nothing to marvel at.
if it was weistec s/c vs ess m3, then that would be a fair and tough choice.

Used 2012 add a Weistec stage 2/3 with FBO - you'll be at 600whp/700whp. M3's cant compete with that.

Even with a built motor and the highest supercharger available from ESS it cant run with an 2012+ M156 with a Stage 3 Weistec on a stock motor and tranny.
