Review of weistec transmission review

Some may know and some might not know but I had my transmission shipped to weistec for rebuilding and I got it back last week

After a little bit of babying on the street I gave it a few test hits and omg what a difference the shifts are lighting fast and tight really tight the actual car feels tighter in manual mode the car is a weapon I mean this thing cracks gears and it just gives you a feel like no other

Now previous to the tranny build I ran a 10.9 at 131 mph with 1.70 60ft

Today I went and had another crack to see if I could better the time
I had 6 passes in total 4 x 10.9 passes at 133 and 134 mph and 2 10.8 passes at 134mph with a best 60ft of 1.77 nothing special at all

All in all the car is faster a lot faster if I could just get a better take off the car will go 10.6 ( back to the drawing board )

All in all I'm very happy the transmission has made a massive difference to the car and if anyone is in 2 minds about doing it just do it you won't regret it

Awesome. Thanks for the writeup. What did they say your stock tranny looked like when they got it apart? Anything clearly broken/worn?

This is def on my list.

its hooking but its not launching off the line I tired stalling it up no good my best runs were just stepping on it

I think the suspension is holding it back its not squatting off the line

next time I go im going to put my standard springs back in and have another crack

i need to pm you about something

Honestly BLKrot i didn't ask them how the clutches were and what shape the trans was in

I'm running HR springs and mine launches hard. Don't stall the convertor up just hold the brake then floor it so the convertor flashes higher.
