Gloss black plastic detailing

Hi guys,

Anyone have experience cleaning and protecting the gloss black bits on the 507 (and other variants). Such as: side mirror covers, front bumper chin spoiler, rear deck spoiler, hood scoops.
When I had my car Opti coated, the guy didn't do these parts, and it's almost impossible to remove bugs, etc from them. After only 3 months of ownership, they are starting to scratch and get all kinds of environmental residue that won't come off.

Anyone had success detailing these parts and then protecting them so they are easier to keep clean?

Thanks

2012 C63 Edition 1 coupe
Hey bro, I recently went to my local dealer and just purchased the MB matte paint car cleaning kit. Not sure what color paint you currently have but the solution that came with the kit worked AWESOME on getting rid of bugs / road grime. I have a 2012 C63 Edition 1 with the Magno night matte black paint and it's the biggest pain in the *** to keep clean. Everything in the kit works awesome. It was around $85! Pricey I know, but hey, if it works then why not buy it. Hope this helps. I can send you a pic of the kit I purchased if you like.

Thanks man. I think you are referring to part # 000 986 16 00

However it seems to be just for matte finishes. I need something for the glossy black plastic parts (mirror caps, spoiler, etc).

.
Dr. Beasley's has great product, and a separate cleaner, conditioner, and sealer, for plastic. They work great

This is what I use and it works better than anything I've tried...

Removing the bugs can be a pain. When I'm preparing to clean the car I wet the front down and let soak for awhile.
If it stays wet they come off pretty easy.

Anything German
Check out 303 aerospace protectant. Not sure how it'll do on glossy black, but I bet it'd be good.

I had my guy opti coat those bits too. I just clean them like everything else (using mostly ONR/instant detailer). This usually works fine as long as I don't wait too long.

Still, gloss black is pretty tough to keep scratch free unless you are more OCD than most of us already are I'll inevitably develop light scratches over time (Nothing major like swirls etc). My guy just buffs it out each year and resets the process.
