Lowering a P30

I have a P30 but wish to go a bit lower in the back. What can I do best, change all springs or just the rear ones?

You'll want to change all of them. It wouldn't look good if the rears ended up settling in lower than the front and you got a nose up look.

And how about the ride? P30 springs are very harsh but I like that

H&R springs will be softer than the P30 springs. If you want to lower and keep the stiffness, you should go with coilovers.

Are the softer springs holding as good, better or worse to the road?

It's not the springs gents it's the valving on the shocks. They were way too stiff.

Depends on the road condition and driving style.

Same road conditions and same driving style for both spring types
