AC problems on my C63 are driving me nuts

Hello and good day everyone!

If you don't wanna read the fu

I recently bought a 2011, 20k miles W204 C63 that was previously a friend's car. The purpose is to have a fun DD which I hope wasn't a big mistake

The car is clean all around, facelifted to 2012+, P31, and some CF goodies! Just the was I would have ordered it!
AC started acting up soon after I got the car, warm air, and I notice the condenser or radiator fan seem to be on more than normal (and more noisy too)

Took the car to a Mercedes shop (not a dealer)
It was determined that the AC compressor is gone
(which is weird at such a low mileage, but they should know better than I do)

Replaced the compressor with a brand new one, cleaned the system, replaced the filter and all was working fine for a couple of days!

3 days later, the AC went back to blowing warm air
warmer in the passenger side compared to the driver side, but both sides are warm. There was also a hissing noise coming from behind the dashboard, I wanna say behind the driver's side vent

They found 2 small leaks, fixed them, tested the pressure, charged the system, and it is still warm

They told me now that it must be a "clogged condenser", so they are replacing that too

It's taking far too long, and I'm sure by now that they are guessing
I booked an appointment on 7/7 with the dealer which is both incompetent and overpriced IMO, but I just want the headache to be over!

Anyone here had the same issue and can share where to look or what to look for, temperatures are insane here and I could really use the AC

So you/shop/dealer haven't figured out a fix yet?
Not exactly what I was hoping to hear!

I think this C63 may beat my record for the shortest ownership period! Too bad I was REALLY excited to have a RWD beast of a DD !

Sounds like they are properly narrowing down what the problem might be. I don't know what else you expect them to do, that's how you fix problems. It's just AC man, get a grip. It'll get fixed. I'd ask your friend what's up, because he probably knows.

I know man, I was joking about the selling thing, but it's 122 degrees here and I can't really think straight without the AC

I was hoping to see if someone else had the same symptoms and was able to find where the problem is, or if there is a part that is known to fail. That's the main purpose of this thread

I bought the car used, as is from my friend, so not blaming him for this, but the failure is most likely caused by flooring the car a lot with the AC on
The car keeps switching the compressor on and off and will eventually cause a failure

My only hope is it won't be something electrical that will keep blowing parts (and my money) left and right!

Do you understand how AC works? Because that's actually nothing like AC, unless yours blows 122deg ambient temp air around. Because that's all your suggestion does..

What did they use to fix the leaks? Did they replace or remove the lines and fix them or did they charge the system with R-134a that has sealant in it?

i had a similar issue but i also had a CEL for ambient air sensor. i'm not sure if it was placebo or not but right after i had the ambient air sensor replaced my AC was blowing cold air again.

is the car reading temp correctly?

I wanted to replace them, that wasn't a feasible option as the parts were out of stock here, so the lines were removed, repaired and reinstalled

Just picked the car up, the condenser is replaced as well as the "temp sensor" which I'm assuming is the ambient temp sensor you're talking about

The AC seems to be working great, but I'll give it at least a couple of weeks of regular use before I can judge

I didn't notice the ambient temp readings before to be honest, the exhaust note was distracting me

Thank you for the help, and I hope this will be the end of my AC troubles (for now at least), but I will keep this thread updated!

So I picked up the car last night and the AC is blowing cold air, hoping this will not change!

Today, I had the AC on full blast in the afternoon, and noticed the air is cold, but it's not blowing nearly hard enough. it doesn't reach the body or face of the driver

Speculations:
Duct work came loose somewhere
Blockage somewhere in the system

Any other thoughts?
