Weistec oil separator question?!
Hi all! I have 507 C63 edition with 1700 kilometers of run. Tell me please, need to install Wiestec oil/air separator or not? Engine stock, without supercharger.

Weistec claim that it's useful for all M156 engines - be it stock or modified: http://weistec.com/all/c/c-63/2012-2...-system-c.html
Weistec's Oil / Air Separator system is a must have for completely stock vehicles, to those upgraded with the Weistec Supercharger. The separator system vastly decreases oil retention by the engine, reduces detonation (Knock), and can ultimately save the life of the engine internals.
As the excess crankcase pressure is vented through the PCV valve and into the intake manifold the engine will eventually draw in, not only air which is wanted, but also particles of aerated oil which creates instability in power due to the low octane level of oil.

Use the straight bracket you should have got 2 , He basically cut the hose accordingly after He worked out the position of the oil seperator and connection. Pics

Great job! Thank you very much! Tell please, the hoses are just connected by a plastic clamp or attached to the wall of the engine compartment also?

Its cable tied together about 200mm apart. No it's not connected to the firewall. The hose is hugging it against it. No movement.

Yeah mate , mount the catch can in the rough position you want it in , then run the hoses and mark where you need to cut them , as the length will depend on where you mount the catch can ,

That hose is easily remove able but should be connected. Be careful as that mounting nipple is plastic and very easily broken. If you break it you will either need to find a used replacement or replace the entire intake mani; MB doesn't sell that nipple alone. Either way, the entire mani would need to be RR. Ask me how I know.

This plastic nipple in place! just hose easily pulled out of it! this should be? It can be easily inserted! He should not sit tight in the plastic?
