Velos Vs Dyno Tune

Looking to get a tune for my 2009 c63 that I bought a month ago. In the past month I did the ROW air boxes and Res and Cat Delete on the car. The shop that does all the work on my cars is a vender for Velos. When speaking to Velos through emails myself he explained that with their tune I would be somewhere between 430-460 rwhp. Told me that he could make the map more aggressive if needed be, but thats what I should be expecting on his tune. This week I spoke to Brentuning who tuned my FBO 335xi. He said on his mustang dyno I should be seeing somewhere around 450 rwhp. Ill attach a dyno sheet of a car he did with the same setup as mine. Being pretty new to the c63, I was wondering which choice would be better to go with. Is there any benefit of throwing the car on the dyno over having Velos send me their handheld tune. As for as money goes Brentuning wants 895 for their tune with cables and everything to reflash later on. While velos wanted closer to 1000 for their handheld. Regardless of that just seeing what people suggest. End of day I'm looking for the best choice for the car to make the most power.

Those graphs from Brentuning look like exaggeration and fantasy to me. Hope you feel good in the morning.

I mean I talked to velos and they showed me a graph of a car they had with same setup that made 465 rwhp and 420 tq which was most likey wasn't a mustang Dyno. I believe corrected it sat at like 453 or something. Either way I don't know much in the field of this car that's why I'm asking.

The brentuning c63 won the all motor street class at racewars. It's making 514 on a race file running ms109. It's a beast. I'd go with brentuning over velos.

Leaving names out of it... Dyno tune > OTS (off the shelf) all day long. Dyno is specific for your car and can be as aggressive or tame as you want and your specific car is good for. OTS tunes are generic. Not saying OTS is bad, just saying dyno is better.

I know his white one is a monster , he did my 335xi awhile back because he had one himself at the time being why I went with him. The car was night and day better when I brought him it

That's what I figured would be the truth, my ots map from Cobb on my 335xi was okay but the real power didn't come out of it until I got a pro tune . I know these cars don't need protunes being why I was wondering which way to go, if it made a difference in the end .

If you can get to BrenTuning, its a no brainer. His white C63 and mine are exact replicas of each other even down to the power and look mods. He is no stranger to the M156.

I've had my 09 C63 tuned at BrenTuning and have been very happy with the results and reliability of the car. As you can see from the chart he did some before at afters each step of the way.

Interesting. Thinking about it as well... I wonder if he can do all the other nifty things that a place like EC can do, such as have my fans turn on early (Desert Mode) etc...

What's their handheld like to use C63-AMG? Do you have multiple files you can swap?

I am pretty sure they can code Desert mode. I know they custom codded overrun burble to this CLK63 Black Series

I don't have their held held yet as I have never needed to reflash back to stock. I am actually going back on the 13th for a new tune file.

When I was talking to him about coming down he told me they use a MPF flash android kit allowing you to get multiple files later on after your dyno tune. Pretty positive he can program whatever you want in like any other company. Don't see a reason why not .
