Its mostly all automotive grade silicone. Making sure its a tight seal against moisture and debris.
The hard part is cutting the metal then affix fenders, smooth out the frp, install liners and paint them.
I wonder if we can get an alternative wide fender kit for our cars without the brand name mark up. I've dealt with a lot of high quality fiberglass add on fenders for many japanese cars (front and rear) 15-50mm add ons and they are $400-600 at most, $1000+ for brand mark up. I contacted people in the aero parts industry and I can see if its possible to offer the fenders for under $1000 and make them in a way where you can actually purchase them without begging!

Ok. Just spoke with an industry insider/friend. I can't release any company names at the moment but they've been in the industry for 10 years and I've personally bought a few pieces for other car. FD RX-7 and worked with them on other various aero parts.
There is good news and there is bad news.
Good news is: It's possible, this style of over fender isn't too wild, just oem widened style. Nothing like RWB or LW style. All hand laid FRP, made in the USA. Awaiting estimated pricing!
Bad news: They are slammed. It could be up to a year until they have the time to venture out to do something like this. Since their main business is Japanese cars. But I am hoping other W204/C63 members are as serious as I am about getting rear overfenders to make up for the pathetic excuse for factory rear fender size. The more the merrier.
I will start a separate thread on gauging interest. Sorry OP, didn't mean to hijack your thread

[QUOTE=mthis;6484859]Finally after 12 weeks and 25 emails they are here.
Customs was a beach and ended up paying out the A.0 to get them here but now they here and soon on the car. If anyone want to get them i have a broker and a account open and can get them alot easier then i did.
packaging was great even if the they played soccer with the box nothing would got damaged i just dint get a chance to take pix of packaging bc i was to exited to see inside and bring it to body shop.
heres a pic of all 6 pieces that came.
So how much do you think it would run if we got some type of group buy through your connections? Me and at least one other coupe owner would be interested.
