iPod Classic issues?
Hey guys I have the plug for the Ipod in my center armrest and plugged in my Ipod classic and I get incompatible device error. It only works if I plug the ipod into the usb.
Any reason or fix for this?

check the condition of the cable. when i first got my 13 it did this but I found the mercedes cable to be damaged because it was always so bent and forced in the armrest it pulled some cables out of the connector. A new one resolved the issues for me

Just curious, but people still use ipod classics? -I remember having your issue when I tried pluggin my old Iphone 3 or 4 into the media unit to try and play music and "Incompatible Device Error" came up
1. Bluetooth audio streaming ftw
2. I dont even keep songs anymore but stream everything off soundcloud, podcasts, or other online media sources. (Uses about 5-8gbs of data/month) My reasoning is its a waste of my time to manage a music library, download songs etc.

I also use a classic. It was laying in a drawer unused for years until I got the car. BT audio is ok but not as high in quality as direct connect.

I use one too. It's nice to keep in the car since mine doesn't have BT audio.
