Hi there,


I've recently purchased a fairly new 2012 C63 AMG P30 Performance Pack
and really loving it !!


I've been trolling the threads on this forum this week trying to find out if my car is fitted with an LSD.
Manufacture date for the car is June 2012. Delivered in Aug 2012.


My data card does not indicate code 471 which is the mechanical lsd.
However, when I contacted my local MB dealership parts dept, they
confirmed the car has an LSD according to my VIN No.
The Part Nr they quoted me for the LSD was "4714".


I've also noticed that while travelling in comfort mode at relatively low speeds at approx 80 km/ph , if I accelerate fairly hard I tend get get a slight vibration from the rear axle for about 2 seconds and it dies off - the car pulls away clean after that.


Could it be the LSD ? or could there be something wrong with the car ?


By the way - the car has only 2500km on the clock - virtually brand new.

You say you have the P30 Performance Package. Are you in Canada? If so you should have the LSD included in the Performance Package I think. May be why it is not noted on your Data Card?

If you have the LSD and it is chattering when engaging then maybe the dealer should check it out before your warranty expires.

Theres no audible chatter as such - just a slight vibration from rear for like a second or two when I accelerate from abt 80km p/h.
